History and Background
Lok Paritran is a political party that was formed on the 18th of November, 2005 and became a registered political party on the 24th of February, 2006. It was formed with the mission of making Bharatvarsh a powerful and prosperous Nation and regain its rightful place in the world. Lok Paritran was the brainchild of Shri. Chandrashekhar, a man with a grandeur of vision and a depth of understanding unmatched in our nation today. With a group of youngsters united by a common vision and purpose, Shri. Chandrashekhar's perseverant efforts culminated in the formation of a political entity that was named Lok Paritran.
Every member of that group saw India as a country rich in human and material resources but weighed down by a system that had become the biggest stumbling block in the path towards realisation of the fullest potential of the country. They saw the country hampered not so much by lack of resources or ability, but by the lack of a good system where the individual efforts could be channelised towards the common good. Their vision was of a glorious nation where merit and ability guide the way to opportunity, where every citizen is provided the basic necessities and the opportunities to achieve and excel.
This group was formed in order to devote itself to achieve the common objective of a strong, powerful and prosperous Nation by empowering the individuals. The first efforts of the group were directed towards exploring and understanding the dynamics of society. Under the direction of Shri. Chandrashekhar, the group started its activities at the grassroots level in villages in Rajasthan. The objectives were to impart awareness about health and sanitation and to educate the people about our Nation and its glorious history. The modus operandi was simple - the group camped in an area. They visited nearby villages spreading their message, holding community classes and then pursuing and consolidating the interaction. The path to tread in order to achieve the objective was under constant analysis, discussion and evolution. It soon became evident that the issues facing the people were all interconnected and a solution addressing only some problems will always be temporary. Further, due to the vastnes of the country, any individual effort without the existing formal system will be limited in scope. The experience at the grassroots level also made it clear that even when one tries to grapple with the problem outside of the political system, after a point one inevitably gets entangled in politics. Thus in order to find a lasting and comprehensive solution that affects the Nation in its entirety taking a direct plunge into politics is inevitable.
To quote Shri. Chandrashekhar, "It has become imperative to infuse dynamism and quality at the political level. And that is possible only when more and more people choose politics as their career".
